Special-Purpose Transformer Solutions

MDP Power Tech can develop specialised transformer solutions for applications where standard configurations may not meet the required electrical or installation conditions.

Earthing Transformers

Designed for specialised grounding requirements and developed around the electrical configuration of the system.

Furnace Transformers

Engineered for specialised industrial applications with transformer characteristics matched to the required operating conditions.

Generator Transformers

Developed around generator-side electrical requirements and the intended connection to the power network.

Auto Transformers

Configured for applications requiring specialised voltage transformation and project-specific electrical characteristics.

Booster Transformers

Developed for voltage-boosting applications where system requirements call for a customised transformer solution.

Traction Transformers

Engineered for traction and specialised electrical infrastructure applications according to the required operating conditions.

Manufacturing Process

Customised transformers pass through a controlled, process-driven manufacturing sequence developed around the approved engineering design and project requirements.

High-grade CRGO core material is processed to form the magnetic circuit, while copper or aluminium windings are manufactured and insulated according to the specified electrical configuration. Active components are then assembled with controlled mechanical integrity.

The assembled active components are dried under controlled conditions before tanking. Tank fabrication, assembly, finishing and inspection are carried out according to the applicable manufacturing requirements for the selected design.

Testing & Quality

Each customised transformer undergoes the applicable inspection and testing procedures based on its approved design, application and project requirements.

Routine and applicable type testing are carried out in accordance with the relevant IS/IEC requirements to verify electrical performance, insulation, construction quality and operational reliability before dispatch.

Our controlled manufacturing and quality processes support consistency and traceability across project-specific transformer configurations.
